Co-Parenting Mediation With Together You Part

Creating a Co-Parenting Plan isn’t always easy—but it doesn’t have to be a battle. You don’t have to go to court to figure out how to raise your kids in two homes. With the right support, you and your co-parent together can build a plan that works for everyone. And when life changes (because it will), you can update that plan without drama. Really, you can!

Together You Part’s Co-Parenting Mediation provides a structured, collaborative approach to help you and your co-parent navigate creating and updating your parenting plan smoothly. Whether you’re newly separated or years into co-parenting, our process gives you the support, tools, and guidance to create lasting solutions—without the stress, expense, or hostility of litigation.

What is Co-Parenting Meditation?

Co-Parenting Mediation is a guided, judgment-free space where you and your co-parent work together to build a new roadmap for raising your kids—without stepping foot in court. At Together You Part, we help you replace confusion with clarity and conflict with cooperation by breaking big parenting decisions into manageable, meaningful conversations. With the help of mediation through Together You Part, you’ll create a Parenting Partnership Agreement that reflects your real life, your evolving needs, and—most importantly—what’s best for your kids.

Unlike child custody court, where a judge–a total stranger to your family–makes the final decision, Co-Parenting Mediation puts the power in your hands. Court is public, slow, expensive, and built to escalate conflict. Mediation is private, efficient, and focused on building sustainable solutions that actually work for your family. You stay in control of the process, the pace, and the outcome—without the emotional and financial costs of litigation.

If you’re ready to shift from the thought of courtroom stress to thoughtful collaboration, you’re in the right place. Together You Part was made for this.

What is Co-Parenting Meditation The TYP Way℠

At Together You Part, we know that creating parenting plans isn’t just about schedules and logistics—it’s also about emotions, trust, and learning how to work together in a brand-new way. That’s why The TYP Way℠ breaks the Co-Parenting Mediation process into five intentional steps, each designed to give you the time, space, and support you need to move forward with less conflict and more clarity. Instead of rushing toward a one-size-fits-all solution, we will build your Parenting Partnership Agreement step-by-step, at a pace that feels doable for YOU.

The process starts with your  Opening Ceremony, where we set your shared goals and begin crafting a clear agenda for how you’ll work together to build your Parenting Partnership Agreement.

You’ll each then separately participate in a Personal Planning Session, a private conversation with your Together You Part mediator where you can speak freely, voice your concerns, and get clear about what really matters to you.

From there, we move into a series of joint Working Sessions, where you’ll tackle specific parenting issues one at a time—with a clear agenda and the support of your Together You Part mediator to guide the way. This format gives you time to breathe, gather information, and process the emotional weight of the decisions you’re making.

Once you and your co-parent have reached your agreements, your Together You Part mediator will take care of the Preparation of Settlement Documents—drafting your Parenting Partnership Agreement so everything is clear, complete, and ready for your co-parenting journey.

We wrap with a Closing Ceremony where final agreements are signed, and a new chapter begins—with intention. By creating space for both the practical and the emotional parts of co-parenting, The TYP Way℠ doesn’t just help you reach resolution—it helps you build a stronger foundation for the parenting journey ahead. This isn’t just a legal process. It’s a relationship shift. And we’re here to help you navigate it with confidence, care, and the tools you need to keep moving forward.

Where Do We Start?

Before diving into any decisions, we invite you to take our Mediation Match Assessment. This quick, no-pressure tool helps you (and your co-parent or partner) explore whether Together You Part and our process, The TYP Way℠ is the right fit for your situation. You’ll answer a few key questions that cover communication, goals, and your current dynamic.

If you are a good fit for Together You Part, your next move is scheduling a free Game Plan Session. This is a meeting you will both attend to learn more about the Together You Part process, ask questions, and see how it works. No commitments—just a chance to understand your options and see what a calmer, more cooperative process might look like.

Why Are All Of Together You Part's Sessions Virtual?

At Together You Part, all of your mediation sessions are intentionally held virtually—and that’s not just for convenience. When people are in a space that feels safe and familiar, they’re more comfortable, more open, and better able to focus on making meaningful progress. Whether that’s your home office, a quiet room, or your car in a parking lot (yes, that happens!), you choose where to show up. You also get to decide who’s nearby for support. No driving across town, no awkward waiting rooms, no stuffy conference tables—just a process designed to meet you where you are, literally and emotionally.

Virtual sessions also give you more flexibility and control over your schedule, which means fewer disruptions to your work, parenting, and daily life. More importantly, they allow both people to take a breath between sessions—processing information, gathering documents, and thinking through next steps without pressure. This space to pause and reflect is a core part of The TYP Way℠. It leads to more thoughtful communication, lower stress, and better outcomes for you and your family.
