Divorce Mediation With Together You Part

Divorce doesn’t have to feel like a war—or leave you emotionally, financially, and physically bankrupt. Together You Part offers a different path forward. Whether you’re just beginning to separate or looking to turn the page on a long, complicated chapter, our online divorce mediation process, The TYP Way℠ gives you both the structure, support, and strategy you need to reach a resolution without going to court.

Instead of spending months (or years) in a confusing and expensive legal system, you and your partner work together—with the help of a skilled Together You Part mediator—to create a custom agreement that works for both of you. This includes decisions about property, finances, support, and, if applicable, co-parenting. The TYP Way℠ is built to reduce stress and empower you both to move forward with clarity and confidence.

What is Divorce Mediation?

Divorce mediation is a process to resolve disputes and issues and come to an agreement during separation and/or divorce without going to court. Unlike trial, mediation puts you in the driver’s seat—giving you more control over the pace, the process, and the outcome. Here’s how mediation compares to court using the four C’s that matter most.

CONTROL:  With mediation, there is no judge dictating rules and forcing decisions on you.  The solutions to all the issues in your divorce are creative, custom and collaborative.

COST:  Mediation is significantly less expensive than litigation or arbitration. Mediation is, on average, 50-90% less expensive than litigation.

CONFLICT:  Mediation is collaborative instead of confrontational, allowing you the opportunity to preserve a more amicable relationship.

CONFIDENTIALITY:  In mediation, all discussions, possible solutions and final resolutions are private and cannot be shared by the mediator.

Mediation is, without a doubt, the smartest choice you can make to resolve the issues surrounding your separation or divorce. But not all mediation is created equal. Together You Part has reimagined the process to make it even smoother, smarter, and more effective.

What is Divorce Medation The TYP Way ℠?

The TYP Way℠ isn’t just mediation—it’s a game-changing approach that delivers on the promise of what mediation is meant to be: clear, collaborative, and built around real-life solutions. A unique online process gives you more control, more privacy, and a streamlined path forward—without the stress, cost, and chaos of litigation. No courtrooms, no drama—just a clear, guided process that puts you in the driver’s seat.

The TYP Way℠ breaks the mediation process into five intentional phases. Why? Because big decisions—like how to separate your finances, what to do about financial support, and how to co-parent—shouldn’t be rushed. At Together You Part, you are guided you step-by-step, giving you space to gather information, process emotions, and reach agreements you can stand behind.

It begins with your Opening Ceremony, where you’ll set shared goals and begin outlining your path forward.

Next, each of you will meet privately with your mediator in a Personal Planning Session—a space to speak freely, sort through priorities, and identify concerns.

Then we move into a series of structured joint Working Sessions, where you’ll collaborate with your Together You Part mediator to resolve specific issues, one at a time.

Once you and your partner have reached agreements, your Together You Part Mediator will handle the Preparation of Settlement Documents, drafting a Memorandum of Agreement and a Parenting Partnership Agreement.

The process wraps with a Closing Ceremony, where your agreements are finalized and your next chapter begins—with mutual understanding and solid, lasting decisions in place.

The TYP Way℠ gives you both the framework and the flexibility to reach a resolution without sacrificing your sanity.

Where Do We Start?

Every successful divorce mediation starts with knowing whether you’re a good fit for the process. Begin with the Mediation Match Assessment—a simple, no-pressure tool designed to help you (and your partner) determine if Together You Part is right for your situation.

If you’re a match, the next step is scheduling your free Game Plan Session. This joint consultation gives you both a chance to meet with a Together You Part mediator, learn more about the process, ask questions, and decide whether to move forward. No pressure, no commitment—just information, insight, and support.

Why Are All Together You Part Sessions Virtual?

At Together You Part, all of your mediation sessions are intentionally held virtually—and that’s not just for convenience. When people are in a space that feels safe and familiar, they’re more comfortable, more open, and better able to focus on making meaningful progress. Whether that’s your home office, a quiet room, or your car in a parking lot (yes, that happens!), you choose where to show up. You also get to decide who’s nearby for support. No driving across town, no awkward waiting rooms, no stuffy conference tables—just a process designed to meet you where you are, literally and emotionally.

Virtual sessions also give you more flexibility and control over your schedule, which means fewer disruptions to your work, parenting, and daily life. More importantly, they allow both people to take a breath between sessions—processing information, gathering documents, and thinking through next steps without pressure. This space to pause and reflect is a core part of the TYP Way℠. It leads to more thoughtful communication, lower stress, and better outcomes for you and your family.
