What is Together You Part?

The game changing online mediation service for couples who are in and out of it together

Together You Part℠ is not a law firm. Together You Part℠ is the game changing online mediation service for divorcing couples, helping them resolve key issues like establishing parenting agreements, financial support, and asset and debt distribution. But Together You Part isn’t just for divorce—we also offer mediation for co-parents (regardless of marital status) to address ongoing co-parenting challenges, modifications to existing agreements, and adjustments to court orders.

Whether you’re ending a marriage or navigating co-parenting outside of divorce, The TYP Way℠ gives you the structure and support to move forward.

So...How Does It Work?

Before getting started with Together You Part℠, take The Mediation Match Assessment to make sure The TYP Way℠ aligns with your needs and goals.

If you’re a good fit, The TYP Way℠ starts with a free 30-minute Game Plan Session, where we’ll walk you through the process and answer your questions.

Once you and your partner are ready to hop in and get started, your Together You Part mediator will guide you through our five-part system, breaking everything down into manageable steps so you can move forward with less cost, less conflict, and more confidence. The five steps are explained below—take a look to see how The TYP Way℠ keeps you in the driver’s seat.

1

Opening Ceremony:
Building Your Roadmap

Your journey begins with the Opening Ceremony, a joint session designed to set the tone and chart your course forward. Together, we’ll walk through what to expect, build a shared agenda, and set intentions that will guide the rest of your work. You’ll be introduced to the TYP Guidebook and other key resources—tools created to keep you grounded, informed, and supported from start to finish. This session isn’t about diving into decisions—it’s about setting the foundation for collaboration, clarity, and progress. When we wrap, you’ll leave with a solid plan and a shared understanding of what’s ahead.

2

Personal Planning Session:
Your Strategy Session

The Personal Planning Session is your private space to pause, reflect, and speak freely. Before sitting down with your partner, you’ll meet one-on-one with your mediator to share your story, talk through your goals, and name the things that matter most to you—without interruption or pressure. This session gives you the time and space to get grounded, explore any emotional roadblocks, and ask questions. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of what you want from the process and a personalized strategy to help you step into joint sessions feeling prepared, supported, and ready to move forward.

3

Working Sessions:
Making Your Moves

Working Sessions are where collaboration turns into resolution. In these joint sessions, you and your partner sit down—virtually—with your Together You Part mediator to work through the issues one step at a time. Each session is guided by a clear, co-created agenda, so you’ll always know what’s being discussed and why. You’ll make progress at your own pace, reaching smaller agreements that come together to form your complete Parenting Partnership or Divorce Agreement. These conversations aren’t rushed or crammed—they’re structured, supported, and focused on building lasting solutions that actually work for your family.

4

Preparation of Settlement Documents: Finalizing Your Path Forward

Once you and your partner have reached agreements, we’ll pull everything together. Your financial and property decisions will be outlined in a clear, easy-to-understand Memorandum of Agreement. Parenting arrangements will be captured in a Parenting Partnership Agreement that reflects the needs of your children and the goals you’ve set together. Both documents are thoughtfully drafted to give you structure, clarity, and a solid foundation for whatever comes next.

5

Closing Ceremony: Your Next Chapter Begins

You and your partner will come together to sign the agreements you’ve worked so hard to create. Whether you're finalizing a divorce or building a co-parenting plan, this is the moment where your efforts take shape. You've navigated tough conversations, made thoughtful decisions, and stayed committed to creating a resolution with less cost and less conflict. Now, it’s time to celebrate that progress. At this session, you'll also have the opportunity to make a brief closing statement—giving voice to your intentions moving forward and setting the tone for the next chapter.

What Does It Cost?

Now that you’ve seen how The TYP Way℠ changes the game, you’re probably wondering just one big thing: What does it cost? Let’s break it down.
